Overview

Our client, a midsize Managed IT Service Provider, has delivered outsourced IT and support to small- and medium-sized businesses since 1984.

Companies often look at the IT department as who simply “keeps the lights on” and make sure the internet doesn’t go down. When businesses look to outsource their IT, they aren’t sure what questions to ask to find the right partner.

With our client’s high level of service, they are not typically the lowest cost option. As their marketing agency, we were tasked with demonstrating the value they provide while increasing the number of sales qualified leads (SQLs).

Solution

Through our discovery process with the team, we uncovered an opportunity to set the direction of sales conversations through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

We decided to create an RFP template download to help prospective clients ask the right questions to any managed IT service provider.

Next we developed an inbound marketing campaign to keep prospects engaged once they downloaded the RFP, relying on marketing automation through HubSpot.

This strategy included creating a custom RFP, a conversion-optimized landing page, marketing emails, social media content, and paid ad campaigns for various stages of the customer journey.
